In Connection with Extended and Short Programs

The present program has been prepared in this format by the working group (Vaja Balhamishvili, Vladimir Nutsubidze, Mamuka Habareli) for the below enumerated reasons:

1. The 6th kiu (class), the White Belt program is presented in such Japanese terms that are self explanatory. Because of that the White Belt program has been prepared with translation into the Georgian language.

2. As for the techniques and combinations of the block from the 5th to the 1st kiu it includes special combat terminology which in Georgian translation sometimes causes the difference of opinion between and among the Georgian Judo specialists. Proceeding from this reason the present program has been prepared in Japanese only. In case anyone is interested in this program he is invited to select the Georgian terms according to his own understanding.

P.S. We have prepared the present programs proceeding from our own understanding of the terminology and selected the equivalents in Georgian accordingly.

If we compare the short program to similar programs abroad, again proceeding from our understanding of methods of teaching Judo, we have introduced some changes into the consequences of teaching different techniques.

It should also be noted that short programs always undergo slight differences at the end of each academic year which further improve them.
